We’ve managed to revamp the processing of events and the handling of ignored files. There are performance optimizations in the Version Control subsystem too. We were able to resolve a number of issues that were responsible for over 1600 reports of UI freezes. Because we parallelized some of the processes that used to run sequentially, we reorganized the classes in a way that makes the initial class loading faster, and much more. During this time the whole IntelliJ Platform team focused on polishing the IDE and making performance improvements. But for this release, we went even further and held a full-blown quality-marathon.
